Wasfi Kaso – CEO
Wasfi Kaso is the Chief Executive Officer for Unitra-Mets Group. His experience in FMCG spans over a period of 14 years entrenched in Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales, and Strategic Distribution. A Graduate of Central Washington University, Seattle-USA, in International Business and Marketing, Wasfi joined the organization in 2004 as a National Sales Director and within a short period of time transferred the sales structure and distribution capability into a top rated and well recognized organization within the FMCG industry.
In 2008, he was appointed as the Group General Manager and assumed responsibility for the complete organizational structure and operational units across the UAE. Under his leadership, and as the sole distributors for Red Bull energy drink in the UAE, the Unitra-Mets Group became a leading organization globally for the energy drink manufacturer through applying best practices in availability solutions and distribution best practices. His focus on qualitative distribution, people capability development, and innovative business solutions resulted in rapid growth in revenue and net profits for the Group. To compliment the success of Red Bull, he was instrumental in the acquisition of additional brands into the brand portfolios of the Group with the introduction of Moussy and San Pellegrino. This elevated the profile of the organization and further developed the reach capabilities into the UAE market. In the early part of 2010, Wasfi was appointed by the Board of Directors as the Chief Executive Officer for the Group to lead the future strategic direction of the organization.
Hesham El Halaby – Sales Director
Hesham is the National Sales Director for the Unitra/METS Group He is responsible for budgeting, developing sales and distribution strategies for the company.
Decisions and activities in the field of sales and distribution are fully aligned with company strategy, procedures, values and processes. He is also responsible for strategic commercial development in order to consistently meet revenue expectations The ultimate objective is to grow the turnover, cash flow, profitability and increasing market share through effective, sales and distribution efforts.
Hesham has over 12 years experience within the FMCG industry including sales and distribution for major companies such as Pepsi and Mars. He also worked as the Regional sales & Marketing manager for Henkel before joining the Company. During his tenure with Henkel, Hesham pioneered the transformation of the company from an export hub to a sales and marketing company focusing on proper route to market penetration. He graduated from the American University in Cairo with a bachelor in Economics and a minor in Business Administration.
Majit Davud – Supply Chain Director
Majit is responsible for the whole supply chain operation ensuring product availability at the right quality, quantity, place and time to meet UAE sales and marketing demand. He manages all channels of distribution including warehouse and fleet operations.
Majit has over 18 years experience within the global supply chain and logistics business and is a leader within the industry. He was nominated for the best in-house logistics Manager in the UAE by the Supply Chain and Logisitics Award (SCATA), was interviewed by Arabian Business on the PepsiCo logistics process and also appeared on the cover page for Middle East Logistics Magazine in 2007. Majit is a graduate from Gazi University in Turkiye with a bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and has previous experience with companies such as Daikin, PepsiCo and Lafarge Cement.
Ali Akbar Mousavi – IT Manager
Ali’s role is to oversee the architecture and development of Unitra/METS Group Technology platform. Ali has been with the company since 2006 and has been the driving force behind the key player of group platform, providing day to day enhance technology development and support to the company. This requires building and maintaining technical relationships with the world’s leading IT technologies to ensure the company is always the first to support new services. Ali also has developed the e-commerce website for door to door delivery system called Bebida.ae
Ali has over 10 years proven technology experience, designing and developing Internet-based solutions across a range of industries. These include e-commerce, CRM, ERP and the mobile sales system. Ali holds a Master degree on Information Technology Management from Wollongong University.
Dr. Abdul Jaleel – HR & Admin Manager
Jaleel heads the Human Resources and Administration Department of UNITRA METS Group. He has been with the Company since 2004 and has been driving the force behind the key player of the group by managing the human capital and enhancing the employees’ engagement. He manages all the channels of Human Resources, Administration and Quality Management of the Organization.
He is very passionate about cultivating more seeds in the field of Employees Engagement in order to generate more business and always focusing to enhance the employees’ engagement and commitment. He creates a feeling among the employees that the organization is always with them. He has over 10 years proven experience in the field of Human Resources, Administration, Finance and Quality Management. He has managed many rollout projects in the company including the implementation of HHT – Van Sales Automated System, Quality Management System – ISO 9001:2008 and HACCP 2006 Standards.
He holds a Doctorate Degree in Human Resource Management, Master of Commerce, and Executive Master of Business Administration specialized in HR, CHRP and CCBM. He is a trained Assessor of Dubai Human Development Award of Department of Economic Development, Dubai. He is a Member of Chartered Management Institute – UK and Society of Human Resources Management – USA.
Danish Khan – Marketing Manager
Danish heads the Marketing Department of UnitraMets Group , He Has over 14 Year of Experience in FMCG Sales, Distribution & Marketing . Danish Is graduate From Delhi University in Commerce with Post Graduate Diploma with Marketing as Major.
As Marketing Manager Danish is responsible for all the ATL & BTL activities of Unitra Mets Group Brands including Trade Marketing, Visibility, Positioning, Market Research and implementing Brand marketing Strategies. In addition to analyze market share data ,marketing department also present to the management findings of in house Market research on the performance of all brands in terms of Visibility, Shelf share, volume share and positioning ,Marketing also set goals for Sales & Merchandising team for Visibility standards in the Market.
Danish was instrumental in launching and nurturing new product under the group in last seven years and has played key role in establishing some of the Major Brands i.e S.Pelligrino ,Acqua Panna ,Oxygizer ,Bickfords,Kitco Etc in the Market.
